We’re spearheading a campaign to plant 10,000 trees in the city of Carmel over the next 10 years.
The campaign’s kick-off will happen on October 5th, 2020 in honor of the United Nation’s World Habitat Day. We’ll continue with our second event on October 24th. Our goal is to involve youth groups and other ‘roll-up-your-sleeves’ community members. We’re excited to have the Carmel Clay Parks Distrcit involvement.
We started the Carmel Cleanup Crew as part of our commitment to community service. We tackle to the dirtiest streets in Carmel, Indiana. We receive street suggestions from our fellow Carmelites. We meet every Saturday at 9:00am.
“I enjoy the tradition of hanging out with my daughter and cleaning together” said Miles Nelson, president of AOI. Our members enjoy the camaraderie and the sense of accomplishment. A lot of children now make up the growing group.
